Working in arboriculture for 45 years, as a retired master arborist, Johns feels he is blessed in doing what he knows. Consulting for Tree & Shrub Health and Treatment is his way of giving back to the environment he loves. John does all the treatments himself and follows up to ensure results.

John was one of fewer than 433 ISA-certified Master Arborists in the world. He works both in and out of the office by going on property inspections, recommending treatments, and handling all day-to-day business.

For the last 22 years, Lasbury Tree and Shrub has been providing the greater Baltimore metropolitan area with excellent tree care and service. Owner John Lasbury has been a lifelong student of arboriculture and has dedicated his career to upholding only the highest standards. John’s passion for trees began in 1975 when he got his first job pruning Christmas trees and chopping firewood for Hoopes’ Tree Farm. He went on to receive a B.S. in Forestry from West Virginia University and has been employed in every aspect of the business since then.

John Lasbury was an experienced Board-Certified Master Arborist for over 18 years, considered to have been among the elite top 2% of all ISA-certified arborists. His expertise covers identification, diagnosis, risk assessment, preservation, and all other aspects of tree care, health, and service. With John’s guidance and emphasis on education, the crews employed by Lasbury Tree and Shrub provide only the highest quality of work. When John Lasbury founded Lasbury Tree and Shrub in 2003, he did so with three main principles in mind.

What We Do For You

At Lasbury Tree and Shrub, we treat your landscape as if it were our own. We know that as homeowners, you take pride in the health and appearance of your trees and shrubs. As well as the value that trees & shrubs will bring to your home and property. All too often, our first inspection is too late to remedy a tree in distress. That is why we provide annual free-of-charge property inspections and no obligation treatment proposals. These visits allow us the opportunity to address any developing safety or health concerns for your trees and shrubs early to help prevent the loss of your spring flowers and summer shade.
